Gathering in the Kitchen

I love it when we gather
In the kitchen before the fire
Sharing food and memories
As we feed our souls...
Prayers offered up to God!
We thank Him for the food we eat
We thank Him for our friends
We thank our Lord for everything
For His promises to keep us safe
For His many blessings
For His angels dear
We know they are near to us
We thank our Lord for loving us
For taking us up underneath
His massive loving wings
For taking our sins from us
For giving everything to save us
His precious children: 
Knowing that He loves us  
We are blessing all and
Feeling blessed in return!

Friends are a blessing
Friends are good at heart
Whenever there is trouble
Good friends are round about
I thank my dearest Lord 
For my dearest friends
Because without them
I would be so lost: alone
I could never cope without 
My dearest friends and pals
Yes! Thank you Lord 
For all my dearest gals!

Dear Lord please take care of dear Angie
Help her to cope Lord; with her stress
Please take away her worries
Please take away her cares
Dear Lord please send your angels
To ease her stress and help he relax
Let her trust in you dearest Lord
Let offer it all up to you Lord
Let her leave it all in Thy dear hands
For dear Lord You are all powerful!
You are all loving and all knowing!
In You dear Lord must we trust!

Amy’s 11th birthday

Today is Amy's 11^th birthday

My little girl is 11 years old now

That's about 77 in doggie years

I guess she's getting on

I bought her a special present

Something for her to chew on

To keep her teeth clean and white

A few chicken necks for her big day

She did enjoy them very much!

I remember Vanessa during Amy’s birth

She was mid-wife to dear Kia

All those years ago

Vanessa helped save Amy’s life

Tore that sac open when Kia was too tired

Gave life to that precious pup

Helped poor mummy Kia out

Thank you Vanessa for your help that day

For now we’ve loved Amy

Ever since she came our way!

Comfort food

Haven't eaten properly
The past few days
Been feeling down
For my precious son
Someone hacked
Into his accounts
Made him so sad
That someone would do that!
We've watched 
The first two seasons
Of The Game of Thrones
Spent every minute 
Praying for his tormented soul
Asking the dear Lord
To help him get through this...
Sadness, stress and worrying
About losing his girlfriend
About something
He could not change
Now I feel like eating
Something full of fat
Something full of sugar
Like chocolate, chips & lollies
Crappy stuff like that 
Yes: comfort food
Full of empty calories
Full of so much crap!

Heartbroken teen

He's heartbroken
He's lost his girl
It's impossible
She's on the other 
Side of the world
He's heartbroken
He's lost at sea
It's impossible when
She won't listen
To a single word
He has to say!
Some jealous psycho
Hacked into his accounts
Hacked his skype & fb
Stole his identity
Did everything he could
To ruin a good relationship
Because of his sour grapes
Now my son is 
Heartbroken
Down in the dumps
Simply to satisfy
Another's jealousy!

Rain rain rain

So much rain in the past two days
It's like the clouds have burst their seams
Rain drops falling heavily from skies
Like the heavens should be empty: still it teems
The grass is growing: puddles overflowing
Farmers rejoicing: kangaroos jumping
Rain water tanks filling to the brim
So much water: it's sink or swim!
