Playing in the school yard

Enjoying friendship

Enjoying a lifelong bond

Brotherhood: a gift

A special connection it's true

Blood brothers in childhood

Blood brothers in truth

No matter the struggles

No matter the pain

Growing up together

There is always something to gain

Disagreements may come and go

But blood is thicker than water

Yet life doesn't always go as it ought to

But in the end I pray they will find

A bond made in heaven

A blessed union: in fruits

Of the spirit: fruits of life

God willing they will always be

Friends together: sharing their lives

The pearl

For the donkey it was the carrot
Tied onto the stick by a length of string
For the dog it was the meaty bone
Set before his nose: ah the smell it brings
For the cat it was the tiny tasty mouse
Hiding inside the crack in the thickest of walls
For man it is the dream of a home: not just a house
But filled with children, love and laughter too
I ask you: everyone: what is the lure for you?
What gives you your direction: what drives you?
Is it the promise of life eternal: Jesus' gift?
Does this blessed pearl of greatest price?
Fill up your heart and soul with longing?
Does it make you feel happiness in belonging?
For me I can honestly say: without a doubt
I am longing for that blessed day: soon to come
When my Lord Jesus returns: to take me home

Follow your dream

Though you search high and low
Have you found the confidence?
To follow the direction that you know
Will lead you to where you want to go
Have you lost that inner direction?
Have you given up your search for perfection?
Have you ceased to move forward: I know
All life seems an illusion: in reality
Nothing is exactly as it seems...
All is vanity: all is simply pipe dreams
After all is said...the only real sin
Is not continuing to follow your dream

Internal happiness

No one can make you happy

No one can fulfil your needs

Unless you search inside

Unless therein you find

Whatever it is you're looking for

Whatever it is you diligently seek

No other will bring that peace

No other can meet your dreams

You could travel the seven seas

Following that insatiable drive

But would you find that peace?

For: externally: it cannot not be found...

Look inside your heart and soul

Therein: deep inside

Yes therein will you find your haven!

Therein you must ever seek your goals

Worn too thin

Are you worn too thin?
Do you suffer within?
Do your thoughts show?
Just how difficult it is
To be everything
For everybody
Do you forget yourself?
Are your needs upon the shelf?
Forgotten within yourself
Does your ego surrender?
When your heart is tender
Do you give till it hurts?
Do you bundle up your skirts?
Ready to run a mile...
Do you forget your own smile?
Are you worn too thin?
Stop giving too much to others
You can't be everybody's mother
You have to learn to say "no"
Learn to look after yourself
Else you stumble and fall apart
Life is a work of art
It is a work of heart
Giving; loving; living
Remember to take a little time
To recharge your batteries too
Emptiness of heart and soul
Becomes too hard to cope
So fill up your cup each day
Get down on your knees and pray
Dear Jesus is waiting for your call
Waiting to give you his all
His strength will lift you too
Only through him can you
Hope to make it...
Hope to get through...

Brothers and sisters
Jesus promised 
To come again

Gold of Jesus' love

Were I: a precious pure white dove?

Peering in through windows up above

Could I see the gold of Jesus' love?

Flowing from his beautiful heart and mind...

His shining brilliance: His dazzling soul

Spilled forth to fill our fractures: our cracks

His water of life flowing through our veins

Comes from the tears he shed for us

Upon that awful cross at Calvary...

Our Lord: the tree of life: as I see him

Had to be cut down to give forth his blood

Like Frankincense and Myrrh: His tears

Dried upon his dying branches: a flood

To cover each and every one of us...sinners

Like a balm: his healing properties evoke

Perfumed incense rising up unto our Father

He intercedes in heaven for our souls

Promised this to you and me: to set us free...
