I took my little grandsons
To the Strawberry Fete
We ate some ice cream and
Yummy strawberries of course!
Zecairias just wanted mummy
So we took him straight back home
Santiago wanted to go back to hall
He just wanted to have
Lots and lots of fun!
Santa gave him a fruit box drink
A packet of burger rings
An icy pole as well
Same again for his little bro
Had to take some home
For him too you know!
We bought a couple of raffle tickets
To help raise money for the hall
One hundred years now
Since it all began
Celebration going on!
He stayed close to me all night
He was such a good young boy
We had lots of fun watching everyone!
Raffle tickets were drawn
We won a couple of bottles of wine
Bought some pumpkin plants as well
Can't wait to plant them in the ground
Grow them in the sun!
We took our treasures home
After a couple of hours of fun
We showed off all our stuff
Zecarias was waiting up
For his big bro and Nana too!
All excited when we got back
Happy to share to the loot
But most of all he was glad
That we'd come home to play with him!

Patience
Patience has ever been my stumbling block
Since I was just a little child
My fiery temper; it would just come out
My daddy called me: "My little Red-back!"
(Named after that little spider
Found underneath sheets of tin)
My temper would flame up anon
Even though: red head I was not!
Never happy; always in strife
Couldn't find what I wanted
Let alone what I needed!
I wanted to do my thing!
My parents hardly heeded!
Actually as I look back
They didn't give me much advice
Just taught me to be a good girl!
To be honest with myself!
But what teen actually listens
Even it is discussed!
As a teen I was so caught up
In finding my "True love"
But though I searched and searched
I never asked for help from above
Thus was I stranded; lost at sea
Couldn't find those good things
That were meant for me!
Since I was just a little child
My fiery temper; it would just come out
My daddy called me: "My little Red-back!"
(Named after that little spider
Found underneath sheets of tin)
My temper would flame up anon
Even though: red head I was not!
Never happy; always in strife
Couldn't find what I wanted
Let alone what I needed!
I wanted to do my thing!
My parents hardly heeded!
Actually as I look back
They didn't give me much advice
Just taught me to be a good girl!
To be honest with myself!
But what teen actually listens
Even it is discussed!
As a teen I was so caught up
In finding my "True love"
But though I searched and searched
I never asked for help from above
Thus was I stranded; lost at sea
Couldn't find those good things
That were meant for me!
Prayers answered
I prayed for healing for my friend
I prayed for help for my mate
I asked him to pray for me as well
I was feeling so overwhelmed!
Pain was winning: I was lost
My stress was rising up and up
He was feeling swamped too
He said: "you can heal others
But you can't heal yourself"
"No!" I replied "but you can heal me!"
So we prayed for each other
We asked for help from the Lord
And healing came from His dear word!
I prayed for help for my mate
I asked him to pray for me as well
I was feeling so overwhelmed!
Pain was winning: I was lost
My stress was rising up and up
He was feeling swamped too
He said: "you can heal others
But you can't heal yourself"
"No!" I replied "but you can heal me!"
So we prayed for each other
We asked for help from the Lord
And healing came from His dear word!
The Lord will provide (The Leader)
I had some lunch at the local pub
Trying to decide what to do
The printer's card fell out of my purse
The dear Lord was telling me
Go and get this printing done
Trust in me to do the right thing!
So off I went up that steep street
Worried as I knew
I had not much to pay it with
Still I did as I was bid!
I asked the questions, gave the words
All typed up and ready to go
All it needed was the push
To get it all under way!
The quote was given
I was worried now
"Lord I don't have the funds"
I left those words there
And as I went through the door
My dear Lord said to me
"The Lord will provide!"
So I left it all in His dear hands
And went upon my way!
Two weeks later on
As I did my phone banking
I checked my bank account
And there it was: the exact amount
Enough to pay the bill!
Thank you my dearest Lord!
Cover photograph
I'd spent so long typing up your words
I'd dropped my USB and lost it all
Had to do it all again
Now as I was driving along the road
I realized; I had no cover photograph!
As I said the words out loud
I looked up to see those rain clouds
Parting just for me!
I stopped the car; pulled out my phone
I got the cover photo the dear Lord sent for me!
Angels can you hear me? 16/11/12
Angels can you hear me?
Dear Lord can you hear me?
I feel so weak and useless
Without you I am nothing
There is so much that I need to
Do for you; but I feel so useless!
I am so weak and human
Angels can you feel me?
Dear Lord can you feel me?
Help me Lord; I need you!
Please guide me nearer to you
Please guide my thoughts and words dear
Help me to be stronger
Help me to spread your words around me
I need you so much my dear saviour
You lift me when I stumble
You make me feel so humble
That you should notice me!
Dear Lord can you hear me?
I feel so weak and useless
Without you I am nothing
There is so much that I need to
Do for you; but I feel so useless!
I am so weak and human
Angels can you feel me?
Dear Lord can you feel me?
Help me Lord; I need you!
Please guide me nearer to you
Please guide my thoughts and words dear
Help me to be stronger
Help me to spread your words around me
I need you so much my dear saviour
You lift me when I stumble
You make me feel so humble
That you should notice me!
Yesterday
Yesterday, we walked a while
We talked a while
We smiled a while
Yesterday we smelled the roses
In Angaston's main street!
Yesterday, we held hands a while
We said "I love you!" again
We gained some peace
Yesterday we enjoyed ourselves
We were at ease with-in ourselves!
At peace!
