Starry night

As I drove along tonight
I watched the stars above
I saw them shimmering
Up there in the dark night skies
And thought of you so far away
Can you see the ones I see?
Can you see them shine?
Are you able to cry out to me?
Like I cry out to you?
Do you hear me so far away?
Are you aware of this heart? 
Beating quietly for you
As you live so far away? 
I saw the Big Dipper 
I saw Hyades too
And just a little further on
Pleiades shimmered too!
Oh the wondrous
Southern cross 
Gazing peacefully down on me!
Yet I wonder my love
If you know how much it hurts
That though you see them too
Oh how I truly wish I could
Look up and see them with you!

By your precious water of life!
That those who struggle: let it not be in vain 
May they be released from their chains!
That those who are lost may be found
That those who labour for you
May be strengthened by your word
That those who suffer for your sake
May be lifted up by your saving grace
That those in the depths of despair
May see your light upon the stair
All these things I pray dear Lord
That to all ends of this darkened world
May your blessings be poured out
That all who hear your word
May be brought out of darkness into light!

Time grows short

Dear Jesus, please: come in glory!

Dear Jesus, please: return soon!

As we go about and spread the faith

To all corners of this earth here

To all continents and over all the seas

Let us rejoice in your second coming

Let us welcome the bridegroom

Oh Lord we who are in darkness

Though we must wait and wait

We must go about our duties

Never shirking; never pausing

Lest it become too late

So though we truly know not

Though we must also wait

Up in heaven all things are working

Toward that precious renewal

Toward that blessing at the strait gate

So come dear lamb of purest white

Though we know not the time of your coming

We do know that time grows short!
