My mother's shoes

I could never fill my mother's shoes
Never could I even hope to intrude
Upon her domain; until the time came
When she finally allowed us in
Finally; when she could no longer do
All those loving things; she used to
Finally; we were no longer told "no"
"That's not how you do it; like this!
This is how it should be done!"
When words were no longer forthcoming
And we were allowed control
That's when she was too ill; too old
Then; silently she endured; without a word
For "us" intruders; into her sacred world
Then; when she could no longer speak
And only then would she accept us; meek
Substandard doers; to care for her
To cook for her; wash for her
Do all those things; that only she could
Then and only then did she finally allow
Us; inferior human beings to do for her
Those things she could no longer do
When she was old; ill; bowed...

Been Keeping an eye on this skin blemish that came to my notice in the last year or so. It was raised and bumpy but I wasn't sure exactly how long it had been there. Went to a skin specialist and had it checked, photographed etc. all seemed okay.
I've been taking Green barley powder (1 teaspoon in water, morning and night; along with 10 ml apple cider vinegar) for the past 6 months.
The blemish is no longer raised and seems to be shrinking in size and colour! Green barley works at a cellular level regenerating our cells!

Cape Northumberland

About 3:30 pm on Sunday 7th April 2019
we stopped at Cape Northumberland
The southernmost point of South Australia
It was cold and windy and rain clouds loomed
Such a beautiful, wild place to enjoy
As we waited for the next rain squall to come in
Wow! It was most invigorating!

A dream of dad

I woke up this morning
With you dad; in my mind
Just saw you in my dream
You were young; smiling; happy
We had shared a laugh
As we drove along
The sun was shining down
Glinting upon your dark hair
You were so young and happy
Driving your car; like you did
So many long years ago
It was such a beautiful vision
So unlike your last few months
Ah my darling; I miss you so

I made a wreath for you and mum
I plaited the long green vines
I imagined you and mum together
Your loving arms entwined
Red flowers for your precious love
As true as ever; a gift from above
You are now forever together
Your spirits no longer chained
Here upon this mortal plane
Fly free my darlings; take flight
As we here remember you; as ever
With love within your beating hearts

Benefits of Turmeric

I stopped taking the Bioglan
Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Turmeric mixture
As I researched it and found it was a placebo effect
causing fluid retention as well...
I ended up back in a lot of pain in my injured knee
(from last March)
Then I got onto the Cenovis Turmeric capsules
After a few weeks; the intense pain has eased
And I am now able to exercise again
Thank God!

Life is a long and winding road

Life is a long and winding road
We cannot see the ending
Nor the bumps and bends
But if in the end...
We have had the pleasure
Of looking back a few times
And smiling...
It is good...

Prayer is a longing of the soul

Prayer is a longing of the soul
For something totally out of our control
For only out Lord who reigns in heaven above
Cold shower us with His unearthly love
