Eve blamed the serpent

Adam blamed his wife

They both said it was 

Absolutely; The Lord's fault

Who made the serpent?

Who made Adam's wife?

Instead of accepting blame

They sought to spread doubt

If you hadn't made that serpent

If you hadn't taken my rib

We would not have erred...

Sin could not have entered in

Do we live in like conditions?

As did Adam and Eve

Are we like to blame another?

Simply to escape the shame

Do we not lie and cheat now

Just as man has...

For many long years done?

Have we learned nothing since Eden?

Have we simply stumbled along?

Always blaming another

So we can feel better, strong...

Oh dear Lord forgive us

We simply do not understand
