It was 2:22 a.m. the other night
Early October in the year 2013
Couldn't sleep: so I went outside
Stared up into those endless heavens
Seeking out some familiar stars
Found Orion's belt & looked about
Pleiades, Hyades: sparkling brightly
Saw a flash: just for a split second
Was enough to take my breath away
Message received: smiled & went back in!
