As the Crow flies

I'd like to see the land
As the crow flies
I'd like to measure time
Just like the crows do
Whiling away their days
Playing flying games
Cawing with their friends
Never keeping regular trends

I'd like to see the lay of the land
I'd fly over seas & over strand
Watching people live their lives
Seeking flowers for their bee hives
Watching fruit growers & farmers too
Seeing seeds being planted
Huge tractors going round & round
What do crows think of that?

Yes I'd like to see what a crow sees
See through those beady black eyes
Understand the hows & whys
Of birds & feeding, flying greeting
Just like crows do every day
Cawing out loud; going mad in their crowds
A murder of crows it is called
Do they commit murder then?
