A temple stood before her:
many people went inside: she knew
Those inside would escape
destruction when Jesus came again
Those outside would die:
face eternal loss!
Most people didn’t care one
way or another
Making fun of those inside
that structure
They claimed the temple was
a trick: there was no danger
Tried to stop people from
entering those hallowed halls
Ellen waited: wanted to slip
inconspicuously inside
More & more people
surrounded that beautiful temple
She started pushing to get
inside: feared it would be too late
She was pushed & shoved
about: concentrated
On reaching forward: soon
forgot those around her
Inside: the building was
supported by a single massive pillar
To which a bruised &
torn lamb stood tied
Everyone inside: knew their
deeds has caused its pain
They stood before the lamb
& confessed their sins
Many rows of elevated seats
clustered in front of the lamb
Where happy people sat:
light shining upon their faces
Singing praises unto God: had
confessed their sins: were forgiven
They awaited some miracle to
come: fear filled her heart
Confess in front of these?
She felt ashamed to humble herself
A strange force compelled
her forward towards the lamb
A trumpet blared: people
shouted: the building shook
Bright light flashed through
the temple!
Suddenly upon Ellen a cloak of
darkness dropped
She was alone: terribly
alone!
