Comedy of errors

I was just about to sit down & take a seat
Relax for a few minutes: take a load off my feet
My chair is broken: handle: astray it has gone
Use it for extending the foot rest: the foot zone
Well it got me tumbling that's for sure
I fell and landed in a mess upon the floor
Dropped my scissors: handiwork strewn
All was flying along with me: up in the air
I must admit I landed very awkwardly
My left foot was caught in that nasty chair
Just like a bear in a trap: suspended there
I'd twisted around & sprained it: it hurt!
Thank God for soft carpet: thank God for agility
For though stunned I was remarkably well off!
My hubby was laughing at my pain: he was!
Said I looked so funny as I sailed about
Brought me an icepack to put upon my ankle
Tried to get over it: tried not to let it rankle
Finally I got that mending done at last but 
Boy was it a crazy comedy of errors for me!
