I've created a monster

It seems I've created a monster: oh yes indeed!
So many poems I've written: too many to keep neatly
So I've developed a new filing system: just for my sanity
I've saved them under titles: I've saved them under types
But now there are so many I have to think again!
I've saved them into months: I've saved them into years
But dearest Lord what do I do? There are way too many still!
So now I've bought an external hard drive: yes it will save me now
For everything is saved onto this contraption just as I need to do
So I have my dear old computer: I have my faithful USB
Now I have my external contraption and it is saving me!
