The Look of the year Quest

 A few years ago my girls did a course
Modelling and learning how to strut their stuff!
A little confidence is always a good thing
For when I was young: I had none!
They went to Rachel's Model Agency
They learnt to walk with confidence
Had lots of fun making new friends!
Michael was just a tiny boy back then
He watched his sisters as they paced
Too embarrassed to join in but
Later on he wanted to walk that catwalk too!
I was so proud of both my girls when
They entered The Look of the Year Quest
It takes a lot of courage to go up on stage
They did very well I must admit
It's not about winning or losing
It's all about having fun! 

When I look back now a few years later on
I realise that Vanessa wore
The same pin-stripe skirt I used to wear
Many years ago when I met their dad
It just goes to show how much we change
How time passes and moves along
Things happen as your kids grow up
You understand how life works
You get to enjoy so many beautiful changes
As your skin ages and you finally grow up
You might still feel like a teenager inside but
You can let go of all ego and realise
Life's journey is a great time to experience
And appreciate every God-given gift you have
Every moment is a blessing to be cherished
To make your memories to keep for life
Always ready to be brought back
At a moment's notice!
