Kaiser was our beautiful canine son
We got him at the age of 3 months
We had him for 11 and a half years
He was so precious to us!
Dear Kaiser you were our 'son'
You were loved by one and all
You always had a ball
You loved the beach the most
Tim took you for walks along the coast
You chased the birds; seagulls
The pleasure on your face
As you ran and chased; you chased!
You had a cute little grin
As you went about your life
Water held a fear for you
I don't know how you got it
But I do recall; you were enthralled
By bridges going over it!
Yet though you were afraid
You never stopped to think
If some one needed saving?
You were quickly in the drink
Just as I was coming up for air
You'd be there; concerned look upon your face
Legs paddling madly; to get a purchase
On any limb nearby; you'd grab for it
Do or die!
You even saved Tim from drowning!
It was in the bath tub as I recall
But you were so terrified
You whimpered and you cried
As you watched him go underneath
But you stuck your face in
Right up to your eyes
Grabbed a bit of Tim's hair
Pulled him right out of there
Tim cried out for me to see
You saved him another time or three
Until you realized it was all a ploy
To get you to show your zeal
Then off you walked; annoyed!
It wasn't even real!
Everyone was worried
When Vanessa came along
She was our little baby
We knew you'd love her too!
You were so protective of her
Watched as I bathed her; fed her; changed her!
She was of our family; a part!
To be guarded and loved!
The Rena-Ware salesman
Got a bit too close
As she dropped her rattle
He bent down to pick it up
You were there to remind him
Right up close; right in his face
"Don't you touch our baby mate!"
You and Vanessa were great friends
She could do anything
If she had Twisties or Yoyo Biscuits!
She would sit on your back
You didn't mind; you both would munch along
Sharing those treats; best mates!
