Christmas time is here again
Celebrating the birth of
Jesus Christ
What joy there is to think
on Him!
Who gave His life for all of
us!
How wonderful to see the
love
And happiness spread around
as
We show we care for
everyone.
Though the snow does not
fall here
All around is Christmas
cheer
I even saw a Christmas
knight
With shiny tinsel upon his
helm.
Pretty parcels filled with
toys
For all the little girls and
boys.
No sleigh bells in these
towns tonight
Way too hot for summer
flights.
Yet I did see snow in
Angaston
Though the colour was a bit
off-white
The Jacaranda’s blossoms
fell like snow
The pavement was covered
just the same
But it was the summer heat
that came
So no matter the clime in
this dry state
Santa comes on Christmas eve-night
He should wear thongs and
stubbies shorts
Or else he’d faint down
those chimney pots
The only problem to be seen
I fear
Is that mankind should love
his neighbour
For every single day of the
year.
Songs of cheer and giving
gifts
Even if it’s just a little
smile
And like a boomerang in
flight
It comes right back to you
And makes your day brighter
still.
So thank you everyone
All the volunteers and gift
givers
The wrappers and the
deliverers
Of hampers filled with love
and cheer
For making Christmas so
special
Each and every blessed year!
