When I gave up on life

I took all of those sleepers
I'd had enough of life
I was too distressed to think of
My children's need: my life!
I'm sorry my darlings
I had no right to slip away
But it was just getting too much
I am ashamed to say!
I wasn't thinking straight!
The dear Lord was working for me
He wanted me to stay
It was too soon for me to go then!
So I know it was His might
That made me come back down again!
I felt so used and abused
By that force of life in him
I was led astray and desperate
I didn't think ahead!
Or I would have seen the light!
My dear children: I love you so!
I am sorry I didn't consider you
As I took those pills that night!
But now as I look back there
I see and understand my life!
I see how your dad's terrible life
Was just too much for me to bear right then!
I carried it alone!
But now I have a stronger helper
Dear God is right here with me
It is only with Him beside me
That I can cope and go forward
To face this unsettled life!
Now I am stronger!
Now I know I am not alone!
(Phillippians 4:13)
I feel His power within me!
As His dear angels lift me up
I am soaring in the skies dear
I am like an eagle on high
I am waiting for my dear Lord
To come flaming from the skies
Please realise dear loved ones
You are never left alone
Dear God and Jesus
The Holy Spirit and the angels
Are right here at your side
Don't stress and let life get
Too heavy: lift up your eyes!
Lift up your heart and soul
Our dear Lord is soon coming!
He is waiting for your call!
Please accept His help dear
Please don't let it all just fall
Remember your dear children
Remember your precious ones
Think of how your death will affect them!
See the pain and damage that is done
If you give up your life's journey?
If you surrender to your fears?
For without God's help and love dear
You will certainly slip and fall!
We are: not one of us perfect!
We are: not one of us alone!
Though the loneliness becomes heavy
Please do not give up my dear
Let dear Jesus come inside
He is the one true saviour
He is the only one to save
He can help when life gets...
He is all that is beautiful and pure
Please let Him into your lives dear
Before Satan drags you down!
Don't ever think that you're helpless!
Don't ever think there is no other way!
There is a better helper
There is a better way
Accept Jesus as your saviour
