It was a hot
summer’s night
The air was
still as death inside
No
electricity to be had: it was bad
Wandered
outside to catch a breath
Whatever gasp
of air was to be had
Thus I stood
beneath the passing storm
Thunder
clapped: lightning forked
Ah the power
I witnessed then
That amazing
surge of adrenalin
As I was
drawn up into that powerful vortex
My
imagination to run wild
The power and
the beauty
Touched
something primal inside
My precious cerebral
cortex
Ah that storm
was just the thing
To make me
appreciate each
And every different special day!
