Turkish delight

Ingredients:
4 dessert spoons gelatine
1/2 cup cold water
1 cup sugar
Grated rind of 1 orange and 1 lemon
1/2 cup hot water
1/3 cup of orange juice
1/3 cup of lemon juice
Pink food colouring

Method:
Soften gelatine in cold water
Make syrup from sugar, rinds and hot water
When boiling, add softened gelatine
Boil gently for 20 minutes
Remove from heat
Add fruit juices, strain mixture
Colour with a few drops of food colouring
Pour into wetted 8 inch (20 cm) tin
Allow to set

When firm, cut into squares
Using a knife dipped in hot water
Roll in sifted icing sugar 
Mixed with a little cornflour
