I remember riding my old bike to school
Afterwards we'd ride to friend's places
To continue our fun and our races
Instead of riding to the west road
I would take the more easterly road
As that led to my friend's houses!
How I loved looking in at other's gardens
We only had a few geraniums!
I still recall having a ball
With my friends after school and
Finding a tree full of Loquats!
My friend said "She doesn't mind!"
So we went to ask if she'd be kind
To let us have some of those Loquats?
The dear lady was not at home and
I'm sorry; to say: my greed did overcome me!
We had a good look around
To see if anyone was around but
Nobody was there and
So we just started picking!
We were about half way there
When that dear lady came home and
We scattered like scared birds
In the barley!
She yelled for a bit saying:
"You silly little children!
If only you'd waited to ask me!
There's plenty for all!
You only had to be patient!"
I am so sorry dear lady!
Please forgive me?
