Ginger black

Santiago is a funny little guy
He's into all those silly jokes
A typical 5 year old he is
Making up a lot of stuff!
The other day we saw
A black cat across the road
He said it "looked nice and
What do you think 
I would call it Nana?"
I thought of a rather boring name
Something like Blackie or Shadow
Thought he might state the obvious but 
I was very wrong!
He said "I think I would call him Ginger!"
I was flabbergasted I must admit
I never would have thought of it!
On the way back from the park
I saw the cat and reminded him
I said "Look there's Ginger!"
He looked at me as If I was mad
"Nana: what's the matter with you?
Can't you see that cat is black?"
