I remember a trip to the Adelaide Zoo
I can't remember how old I was: it's true...
But I do remember wishing that I could
Take a ride in the cart that Samorn drew...
For many years I have wanted to find
Something to help me to remember...
Something that would assist me in my quest...
Today I was in Angaston for lunch with my friend
After a home cooked lunch of vegetable soup
We walked down the street to a little market
We wandered around and looked at everything...
A man was selling prints of historical significance
I simply placed my hand into the box and withdrew
A print from way back in 1958: at Adelaide Zoo
There was Samorn the elephant in that photograph
Towing a cart with people seated upon chairs
Smiling faces looking at the camera it's true...
I was amazed at the significance of the coincidence...
Actually I do not believe in coincidence: that's true...
For in my mind: everything happens for a reason
Yes: everything in its season: just like it is said
If it is meant to be: it will happen: it is destiny...
