As Michelangelo worked upon that block of marble
He could see the potential of that final masterpiece
He could already see the statue of David: breathing
Life into that lifeless piece of rock beneath his fingertips
As he was working: hitting that block: making inroads
A young boy asked him...
"Why are you working so hard?"
Michelangelo replied...
"There is an angel inside of this rock
And I am setting him free!"
So it is with our dear Lord in heaven: He knows...
He sees our potential: our limitless possibilities...
He knows that within that block of stone
Is an angel
Yes, He sees inside and knows what we can be...
