Ever heard that saying
"Sin enters like a pinprick
Spreads like roots of oak"
Do you think this is all a joke?
Well here's what I'm saying
It just doesn't seem fair
So many go about their lives
Without a thought...
Without a care...
Don't give a damn
About another
Just go on and on
Doing all their evil deeds
Will they ever understand?
Just how that evil one feeds?
He seeks our destruction
Yes: yours and mine
He goes about as a roaring lion
Seeking to devour all
Who give in to his wiles
All who follow where he leads
So are you one of those?
Evil doers: those devil may care's
Do you think you can escape him?
Do you think you have evaded
Being captured in his snare
Well think again if you are adrift
Are you caught within his grip
Does he play with your mind and soul?
Do you know how he seeks to control?
He leads you on just a little
A tiny insignificant thing
You look around and contemplate it
It doesn't seem so bad after all
Then he lures just a little further
Baits the hook with that juicy worm
See it wriggle: see it squirm
Are you the fish that's hungry?
Are you entranced by it all
Will he pull you in a little further?
Are you gullible enough
To think you will not fall?
It is only with God's armour
It is only with our Lord's power
That we can endure everything
That we can evade that capture
Yes we can overcome it all
So put put on God's armour
Put your trust in Him who loves us
He is ready: waiting for your call!
