Earth angels

 I like to think there are so many
Earth angels here on this old earth
They're the beautiful ones who care
About another's troubles and listen to
Everyone else's problems
Before they tackle their own
They are called pastors and mentors
They are called nurses and counsellors
They are called carers and volunteers
They help to make this sorry world
Spin around just that bit more easily!
Their hearts are in the right place
They care about everyone they meet
They even take in people off the streets
They come from many and varied walks of life
They come from long lives of trouble
They understand because they've been there too!
They are the ones who care because
Jesus has come into their hearts and lives
He lives there; right inside; helping them to cope
As times are getting worse and worse
Troubles coming by the score but 
Those earth angels just keep on
Giving more and more!
