Magic Mel

Magic Mel is my friend
At 16 she was in a car accident where
She suffered brain injuries
She spent months in the Royal Adelaide Hospital and 
More time for rehabilitation 
At the Women's and Children's Hospital
Mel's determination to do everything 
She could before the accident is an amazing journey!
What faith in the Lord she shows every day!
There are no questions like: "Why did this happen?"
There are only positives in her faithful mind
"The Lord must have a reason for this
I will do my best to learn and grow in my new life!"
She sang a couple of her hymns for me
The other day when I was at her home
Mel writes poetry and music and
Plays the keyboard left-handed
Her voice is strong and sure and 
I was moved by her beautiful voice
Lord you are such a big part in Mel's life
You guide and lead her every day
Your dearest angels are with her
As she praises your greatness
I am honoured to know and love 
This beautiful young woman!
