Let Him be your Guiding Light

I look at my life and realise how lucky I have been
My family is well and I thank the Lord my parents still live
I see so much destruction around me
Families breaking up; disintegrating
The death of loved ones in car accidents
Loss of life in many different ways: illness, disease
Oh Lord so many people need our prayers
So many do not understand how easy it is
To let go of their struggles and let You lead
My prayer is for all those who struggle with their lives
In this day and age when everything is
Rush, rush rush! Hurry, hurry, hurry!
There is no time like the present
To sit quietly and allow the dear Lord in!
Into hearts and souls and minds
So weary with the stress of life!
Please open up your hearts and let Him in
He brings peace and love
Beyond human understanding
Just let Him in and allow Him to guide
So simple and easy to praise the dear Lord
Let Him be your guiding light amid the darkness!
