Had seen the seal many times
Basking in the warming sun
Enjoyed the views along the coast
As we exercised; walked; took our fun
Crept up close to photograph him
As he slept; turned around and then
Relaxed again; fell asleep...
Knowing we weren't after him you ken
But this time; quickly; off he went
Escaped; dived into the deep blue sea
Yes; he was afraid; of you; of me
What happened to my little friend?
Why did he run away from me?
I am no animal abuser; no fiend
