Beautiful Port Elliot
Cloudy; overcast; still
A few spots of rain fell
We parked on top of the hill
The view was amazing
As we settled down to eat
Fish and salad for lunch
We gazed out to sea
on top of Freeman's Knob
Suddenly some excitement
As movement caught our eye
There in the distance
A mother whale and her calf
Huge tail fins flipping
She breached high into the air
Followed by another roll
As we could only stop and stare
Mother and calf cavorting
Enjoying some family time
Wow, it was amazing
As we watched; enthralled
Blowing and sporting
Having a whale of a time!
