We walked along the Heysen Trail
On such a glorious day; this I'll say
It was magnificent to say the least
Simple sandwiches for our feast
Peanut butter on whole grain bread
Such glorious views in my head
A crispy apple followed suit...
Hiking; what a marvellous pursuit!
Though it was cloudy, dull, overcast
Impressions n my mind will last
Stark cliffs the home to this setting
Fresh air for our lungs; we're getting
A park bench upon which to rest
As we ate our lunch; felt the best
We've been before; will return again
This coastline in our heart remains
