Too many things

We collect things to make us happy
We keep too many things "just in case"
But along the way we all lose sight
Of how controlled is this human race
We are told we must have this
Subliminally suggested we need that
But if we care to look really closely
We are all just conditioned lab rats
Got to have new clothes; a fast car
Got to have a brand new house
But take a look around; look afar
It all depends upon love; your spouse
What need of endless gadgets?
What use are so many things?
We become tied up and tangled
Yes; all tied up in endless strings
Instead of so much useless gift giving
Why not dedicate your precious time?
Give of yourself in these days of living
Before you have no more time to give
