I was early (by a week!)

I wanted to make sure
I wanted to be early 
Didn't want to feel strange
Didn't want to feel left out
So I headed off to find that pub
Arrived at just the right time
Or so I thought!
I looked into my handbag
Tried to find that invitation
There it was as I expected
But I'd made the biggest boo-boo
I was at the rendezvous
A whole week early!
I had to laugh at myself!
Silly me: I've stuffed up again!
But I don't care because
I'm only human!
