The Spiral dance

Life is a balance: we are always on a limb
Balancing for our very lives: life is an upward climb
Crawling out of childhood: walking into adulthood
As we grow older we may bend a little: stagger maybe
But always we travel onward and upward: toward the end
Life is a spiral dance: we are always on the move
We travel around this circle: weaving in and out: in our groove!
Life is just a dance: we choose the rhythm and the tempo
Everything goes on as we expect: unless we let it go
Illness is the stride breaker: ill-health the death knell to our happy lives
So if we are able to stay healthy: if we can continue on
Then there are so many blessings to be delivered: to receive
For God gives us an even balance sheet: he sets us on our feet
That we might meet our maker: eventually sit at His blessed feet
Yes life is a beautiful dance: follow that fantastic beat
Dance until your day is done: enjoy every day you greet!

You who are called by a thousand names
May all remember we are cells in your body
And dance together.
You are the grain and the loaf
That sustains each day
and as you are patient with our struggle to learn
So shall we be patient with ourselves and each other
We are radiant light and sacred dark - the balance
You are the embrace that heartens
and the freedom beyond fear
Within you we are born, we grow, live and die-
You bring us around the circle to rebirth
