Do not ask me

I am upset: do not ask me
She is stubborn: will not change
Refuses to do anything I ask
No matter how much I beg
She is in control of her days
Doesn't care what anyone says
After all it is her life at stake
She it is who must take the pain
She it is who must suffer in vain
But I cannot push her I know
For she it is who must decide
No other can break that tide
She is the one who lives or dies
It is out of my hands: into God's
I can only pray for her: my mum
