It's been so cold this morning
Icicles hanging round my ears
Why am I feeling this coldness?
Haven't felt like this in years
Must be because I'm injured
My body is telling me so...
"Stay warm so I can heal you"
That's the way it has to go...
So I snuggle beneath my blankets
I cover up as much as I can
Don't want to leave the warmth
Don't want to face another winter's day
I miss my old wood burning stove
It used to make everything so snug
Yes its heat permeated blissfully
Keeping us all warm all winter long
