Life as a house

If life were a house
I guess it would like to be
A simple; strong dwelling
Full of love; story telling
High upon a stormy shore
Witness to winter storms
Something out of the norm
Sturdy yet gentle upon the eyes
A blessed paradise: sunshine filled
Green garden clad; trees swaying
Do you understand what I'm saying?
Full of sea breezes...
Whatever pleases your heart?
It would be for you; a work of art
More like a work of heart...
Ah to live life as a simple house
To welcome children; spouse
Laughter come home to roost
Upon broad beams
Shouldering a colourful roof
Inside; sweet dreams
Water falling into the briny deep
All for love of family
Right there beside the cliffs so steep
