Wartime gingerbread cake

Wartime gingerbread cake

Ingredients:

125 g butter
155 g sugar
125 g golden syrup
1 egg
250 g plain flour
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon mixed spice
1 teaspoon bicarb soda
3/4 cup sour milk (or fresh milk)

Method:

Cream butter and sugar
Add egg
Add rest of ingredients and blend
Sit for 5 minutes

Bake: 

on 160 degrees C for one hour

It will be soft...be careful.

Lasts one week if you can stop eating it...
