It is so much easier to go around singing
Than it is to be miserable and sad: be glad you
Woke up in the morning: saw another dawning
Be thankful that you opened up your precious eyes
Heard the birds singing, felt the soft breeze blowing
Yes even the sun was glowing: as you woke: arise
Though days might seem darker: let your life sparkle
Allow the good things to come in: let happiness
Outnumber all those sad days: get out in the sun's rays
That vitamin D does wonders to your mood: be good
Think positively: get around: be lively: exercise!
All these things that you can do to lift your joys
Please dear adults, please dear girls and boys
If you are positive: if you smile and really grin
Those feel good hormones will take flight: delight
In all that surrounds you: let happiness ground you
Push away all dark thoughts and you will win
Allow dear Jesus to save you: bless and amaze you
His sweet words can only aid you: promises He made you
Take them up and sing along: sing happy songs to Him
He is our precious maker: our blessed life giver: joy bringer
To Him lift up your voices: he would rather hear you sing!
