Caught up with Kia Rose
Been 15 years I suppose
Since we were last together
Clearly I do remember
Those trips to Melbourne as a family
Stayed at their house: together we
Had so much fun running free
Shelley, Ned and Michael three
Vanessa was maybe twelve years old
Those trips to Victoria were so cold
Long drives through the night
Children sleeping; minds taking flight
Dreaming of all the fun times to come
When we finally arrived: seat belts undone
Then it was out of that cramped car
Into the pale sunshine: running far
Great memories I'll be bound
Yes stored in our brains: now found!
