Why is it that in this human race?
People act so badly...it is a disgrace
They cannot allow another to grow
Without slinging mud in opposition
Without making outrageous propositions
Decrying their goodness in the other's face
They simply cannot let sleeping dogs lie
They have to pull the other down to rise
It's always one above the other
No joy or "congratulations brother"
No praise or love for one another
Does that make you any better?
No it simply shows: humankind up
Shows how pathetic we really are
When we cannot be thankful
Cannot be happy unless we are scrapping
Like mangy dogs snapping...
At each other
Over a stringy old worthless bone...
