Winter has returned...
Though sunshine glows
A cold wind burns
Waves crashing endlessly
Celebrating their strength
Everything's still the
same
Except the day's length
Darkness comes more
quickly
Warmth disappears too soon
Even the sun seems sickly
Shadows deepen after noon
I long for the summer sun
I long for that immense
heat
The rocks are too cold for
me
As I take one for my seat
So roll on winter, get
along with you
I want the longer days,
stronger days
I need to feel the heat of
summer sun
As I long for summer’s
return and fun
