Living a lie

For years I’ve been living a lie
Yes it’s true: it’s been do or die
Pretending all is well
Pretending it is all okay
But behind closed doors
When it’s just you and I
Where no-one ventures
Where there are no prying eyes
There: the truth is absolute
There no-one can give a hoot
When you feel sad, abused
No-one really has a clue
About what he’s saying?
About what he’s done?
About how time unravels
About life with the crazy one
You become crazy yourself
You feel: alone: left on the shelf
But Jesus knows the score
He’s always there: was before
Will be again tomorrow too
There through all the sorrows
Uplifting you: if you‘d just let Him
Yes: if you’d just let Him in?
