It’s amazing
how sometimes a silly prank
Can really
backfire: cause a huge scare
We’d arrived
in Kingston-on-Murray
We were
waiting outside the little shop
A family
friend thought he’d play a joke
He snuck up
to the open car window
He simply
said “Boo” but what a to-do!
My two girls
burst into terrified tears
Screaming in
fear: yes it’s simple dear
After our
fighting at home: we’d come
To escape for
a while to Grandma’s place
I know he
didn’t mean anything by it
But we’d been
through a lot back then
Angry fights
and yelling and screaming
So that’s all
it took to have us all spooked
My poor
little girls faces as we jumped in shock
As we looked
around and finally too stock
It was a
terrible time for us all back then
Yes it was
something that will never ever leave us!
