is concrete
On one side
is soft white sand
The other:
full of rocks
It looks
deceptively smooth
But, if you
dig too deep
You will find
the smooth rounded stones
Hiding from
view: just below the surface
Just beneath
the soft white sand
Ready to trip
your feet
Ready to stub
your toes
