Watched The Life of Pi today
Wow! What can I say?
How would anybody cope with such strife?
A huge tiger at the end of your boat?
One lifeboat is surely not enough
To travel through such stormy seas
Among his desperate pleas: Pi
Asking God to save him in those seas
Huge waves crashing upon his head
Oh I would surely be dead
Sea sickness, lack of food
No water to drink unless you caught it
What tribulation to get in!
Oh Lord: without you anyone would die
After suffering such a terrible fate!
I guess when Jonah was swallowed whole
Inside the stomach of that whale
He had a few lessons he had to learn
God had sent him to Nineveh but
After he ran away to hide from God
He was given a second chance to return to grace
I see how this movie could be linked
To Jonah's life upon that ship
He was sure he had escaped
Until that storm took that ship & tossed it about
Those sailors threw everything into the seas
Until Jonah shouted: "God's after me!"
Into that boiling sea was he tossed
To understand how God will not be crossed
Finally as he was put to shore
Survival was the only score!
He did as God had commanded
Preached in Nineveh of survival
Those people turned back to their God
So many lives were saved that day!
Pi learned to trust upon the Lord
He learned to have the faith of Jesus Christ
And life was returned to him at terrible cost!
