The devil you know

It's Federal Election Day today
Everyone gets to have their say
On the radio yesterday I heard
So many people having their say
Some didn't like the one
Some didn't like the other
The words I heard were so absurd
Many angry at so little a voice
So many upset at either choice
It's damned if you do & also
Damned if you don't!
So everyone will cast their vote
The choices that we have to make
For every Australian person's sake
Do you go with the one already in
The devil you know or some other one
Do you take a punt & make them spin
It's like a game of Russian Roulette
Eventually you get the bullet
It's only a matter of time
But someone's got to do it!
I see them bickering in Parliament
Like naughty children they vent
Abuse at each other: no manners there
Poor man who holds the chair
Shouting "order, order" at those big kids
These are the ones we have to choose from!
Dear Lord what a mess we're in
When neither choice is free of sin!
