Feeling unsettled

I've been feeling unsettled
To say the very least
This is one of Satan's weapons
The very nature of the beast
He wants us to be troubled
He wants us to be unsure
Knowing full well
That trusting in Jesus is the cure!

But if we go about downhearted
If we allow the worries to come in
Isn't this half his method
To keep us wallowing in doubt: in sin
Thus are we disabled: not even thinking of Him
Our Lord who loves unconditionally
Our Lord who has already freed us from sin!

So give Satan the big heave ho
Tell him to simply move along
For I'd rather raise my voice to heaven
I'd much rather feel joyfully glad
Than go about being miserable
Being a prime target to be had
So smile and please remember
Dear Jesus is our Saviour
Dear Jesus is our Lord
Follow after Him dear
Praise Him in song and word

Do good to those who abuse you
Smile and with the purest heart
Show what The Lord has done for you
Show the world the pleasure and the part
That dear Jesus provides for us
Simply because He lives right here
Yes right here in our precious hearts!
