I read a story in the Reader's Digest
All about a guy who had a flat tyre
No jack to get it fixed so he walked
Back along the darkened road
Towards the light he saw: shining there
Now this man worried way too much
Always placed those obstacles there
Always worried about the "what ifs"
What if the guy at the house is angry?
What if he has a gun? (US)
What if they don't want me?
Arriving in the dark to ask for help?
People today worry about so many needless things
They make problems for themselves
They make mountains out of molehills
They pile them up around themselves
Making huge obstacles for each day
Many of which never even arise
Satan wants us to stress and worry
Satan wants us to waste our precious time
Worrying needlessly about everything
Distracting us from getting close to our Lord
But if we trust in God and let Him lead?
If we could only see that we cause more stress?
By our silly imaginings and needless fears!
Ah how much simpler everything would be
If we only allowed ourselves to trust and believe?
