My mum and dad have always looked after me
So never did I think to have to turn the tables
Especially at such a young age!
In 1993 dad had a brain haemorrhage
He was only 58 years of age
He tossed and turned in pain for 3 days
Before he would see a doctor!
Finally he was rushed to Modbury for a CT scan
And we were all shocked by the scans!
A massive dark patch covered a huge area
Within his skull; pressing on his brain
We went to a hotel to stay in Adelaide
Dad asked me to shave his face
It was itchy after 3 long days
An he couldn't see properly
Never did I ever think
I would have to do this for him
