Shepherd's hill recreation park

We took a walk into the park
Along a winding uneven path
Thought to enjoy the scenery
As we breathed the fresh clean air
Saw beautiful crimson rosellas
Happily singing in the lofty trees
Magpies and spoggies too were there
As we walked along the trails
Nasturtiums growing in the creek bed
Box thorn everywhere: green and strong
Wild olive trees here and there
As we walked along in the dappled shade
We searched for koalas up in the trees
But no luck had we in that regard
As we continued onward and upward
Crossed a tiny trickling creek and slipped
Almost falling back but saved myself in time
Lost my shoe I'm telling you but all was okay
Almost tripped a couple of times
Tree roots a constant stumbling block
It was such a lovely place to visit
For some fresh air and exercise
A wonderful little escapade we enjoyed
On a blessed Sabbath afternoon
