When the Israelites wandered for forty years in Sinai
Dear God was with them each and every moment of every single day
He was a pillar of cloud by day to protect them from that burning sun
He was a pillar of fire by night to guide them in the darkest night
He provided Manna from heaven to feed their hungry bellies
He provided water for their thirst from that cleft rock Moses touched
Today God asks us to trust Him: He promises to be our guiding light
Just like He was to Moses: just like he was for all the Israelites!
