We bought a Solahart hot water system
Way back in 1994 to save on electricity
It was a 302Jk model with the water tank
Fitted up on top of the roof: heavy when full
We never thought much about it: all okay for years
Until our builder friend said it needed support
"Your roof's buckling underneath the weight"
Sure enough the old roof as collapsing
Buckling under the weight of all that water
We rang the company but they didn't want to now
So we rang the council and the builders
We got several quotes from an engineer too
Finally we took the company to court
For failing to strengthen the roof supports
Our house was almost 100 years old
It was built in 1912 and was obviously
Not made to hold a huge weight upon the roof
We were so thankful that it had not collapsed
We could have been badly injured by its collapse
Thank you Lord for sending Rob to see the problem
Thank you Lord for keeping my little family safe!
